and Staff Reporting Processes
- Sign-in/Sign -out Process Sign-in Procedure document
The fingerprint machine will be in the teachers' lounge in the morning and Mme Sarr's office in the evening. When absent, please fill out the teacher/staff absentee form. Be sure to have plans so that a substitute teacher may replace you. There is no vacation leave. You will have days off when there are no classes and no Professional Development.
Sick leave is equivalent to 5 days.
- Student Attendance Process
We have a new online attendance system. It is now necessary for us to report the absent students immediately at the 1st period after the Coran hour. A student should take the names of absent students down to Mme Balde before 10 AM.
Portfolio Checklist and
Structuring
Lesson plans must be inserted into the portfolio today. The portfolio checklist has been restructured. Pick up a copy from Mr.Diouf.
Common
Core Standards & IOWA Testing
and Resources
We talked about why we use them. The test will be , in sha Allah in April. We will begin official test prep in January.
New Report Card Process & Report Card Comments
K-8 will change report cards, but the 9-12 graders will remain the same. We will now be completing our report cards online. Introduction of After School Programs (paid program)
Standards-based Report Cards
We will use standards on the report cards for K-8.
Guidance Counseling
We must identify the students who need specific assistance. There are some forms that you can fill out. If you need any help or information, contact Mr.Vactor.
Discipline with Dignity-"Getting students to follow directions"
Rules should not be set in stone, but should be used to increase student engagement.Never assume anything. always try to find out the root of a behavior.
